Ask Stuart: How do I live out my faith in a family that isn’t Christian?

Q: Stuart, how do I live out my faith in a family that isn’t Christian?

The apostle Peter writes to encourage believers living in an unbelieving world, just like you and me! He says:

Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us. (1 Peter 2:12)

As Christians, we’re surrounded by unbelievers, whether at work, at school, in our neighborhood—and, for many of us, in our family. Our responsibility is simply to live out our faith with integrity—and let God use that testimony for His glory.

So concentrate on loving others and living in a way that glorifies God. And then unbelievers can see the reality of your faith in action, which can open the way for them to change their attitude toward you, and ultimately toward God.
