Why doesn’t God step in when someone is suffering and take care of the problem? It’s a question that challenges a lot of people. Stuart Briscoe confronts the topic of suffering in this message.

Scripture: Romans 8:17-8:22
How do you survive hard times and even flourish in your relationship with God? Jill Briscoe teaches about how our relationship with the Lord can be strengthened because of—and during—hard times.
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 3:1-3:9, 2 Corinthians 12:7
How would you feel if someone cancelled all your debt right now? Mortgage, car payments, student loans, hospital bills—all of it, washed clean. You'd be pretty relieved, right? And you'd probably be pretty expressive and exuberant when it comes to showing your gratitude.
Now if I tell you that Jesus has cancelled all your sin debt, are you feeling as grateful? The truth is that we can't fully understand forgiveness until we understand our sin—what needs to be forgiven! When Jesus joined Simon the Pharisee for a meal, He encountered a woman of "doubtful reputation" who understood just how much sin debt she had and used her tears and hair to wipe Jesus' feet as a way to show her gratitude for all the forgiveness she was receiving.
In this message, Stuart Briscoe walks us through Jesus' dinner with Simon and the parable of the two debtors, and encourages us to consider what sins we might be holding onto.
Scripture: Luke 7:36-7:50
Even though the Bible continues to be the leading best seller, fewer people are actually reading it. That’s unfortunate because God’s Word is just as powerful and life changing today as it has always been!
Scripture: John 8:31-8:38
What does it mean to live in the Word? How do you hear His voice and apply it to your daily life? Jill Briscoe shows us that it starts with bringing your heart, your mind, and your will when you sit down and spend time reading His Word. Psalm 119:18 says, Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.
Scripture: Psalm 119
Who is Enoch? He's a figure in the Bible, someone whom God loved so dearly that one day God chose to take him to heaven to be with Him for eternity. Enoch never experienced death!
It's obvious that God was pleased with Enoch. So it's worth getting to know who he was, how he lived, and why God found such pleasure in his company. How do we emulate the qualities of Enoch in our own lives? What can we learn from him that will help us to walk with God for all of our days?
In this message, Stuart Briscoe uncovers the characteristics of Enoch and identifies the qualities we need to have Faith for the Long Haul.
Scripture: Hebrews 11:1-11:6
The Word of God tells us that there are two life roads—one leads to eternal life, the other to eternal death. There is an art to staying on the right road. There will be pitfalls and enemies who seek to trip us up and distract, divert, and destroy us along the way. But Jill Briscoe shows us that the Holy Spirit will guide, direct, and empower us to keep on walking in the everlasting way!
Scripture: Psalm 119:9-119:15
Is your life governed by your circumstances, or is your life governed by your faith?
Today we face challenges that are similar to what Enoch faced. And like Enoch, we need to walk with God in the midst of conflict, in the midst of suffering and hardship in our world. As Enoch saw the generations go from bad to worse, he was still able to live a beautiful life that stood out to others. If we have willing hearts, can we also live beautiful lives governed by our faith?
Scripture: Hebrews 10:32-10:39
How brightly does Easter day dawn in your heart? That’s the question Stuart Briscoe asks as he talks about how the disciples slowly began to realize that Jesus’ death and resurrection was the culmination of God’s perfectness in justice, mercy, forgiveness, and love for His people.
How can we experience joy in our hearts not just at Easter, but every day? Stuart points out in this message that it depends on what we believe about the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Scripture: Mark 16:1-16:8
Can an orchid grow in a putrid and smoldering garbage pile? Yes, and it has. That’s the power of life within the seed. And so it is with the Good News. Are you all out for Jesus, scattering news of Him wherever you go, no matter how dirty or unwelcoming the circumstance might be?
In this message, Jill Briscoe encourages us to believe that God’s Word will always find good soil. It’s up to us to take advantage of every opportunity so that the fields will be ready for someone to come along and harvest to the glory of God.
Scripture: Mark 4:1-4:20, Matthew 13:1-13:23
Even though the Bible continues to be the leading best seller, fewer people are actually reading it. That’s unfortunate because God’s Word is just as powerful and life changing today as it has always been!
Scripture: Psalm 119:169-119:176
The world is full of people we might be eager to please: our spouses, family members, friends, and colleagues. But we live in a broken world with broken people. We won't find personal satisfaction living for broken people.
Only God can affirm our purpose in life. And pleasing Him only comes when we let Him work through us to do His will. Enoch pleased God, and for that he was able to walk straight into eternity with God.
Scripture: Hebrews 11:1, Romans 12:1-12:2
Which side of truth do you find yourself—a relative truth or an absolute one? When Jesus would talk about His Word, what He meant was His message in its totality. So, what Jesus is really saying is that if you feel at home, if you settle down, if you live permanently, if you begin to dwell in the sum totality of my teaching, you will know the Truth. What does living in the Word look like? Stuart Briscoe shows us that it looks like worship based on the Word, faith based on the Word, and obedience based on the Word.
Scripture: John 8:31
It’s heartbreaking to hear someone say, “I used to believe, but then things didn’t work out as I thought they should.” That’s a crisis of faith and not too different from what the disciples experienced after Jesus was crucified. They were devastated and afraid, everything they had put their faith in died with Jesus on the cross.
How do we respond to the grievous feeling of broken faith? Stuart Briscoe shares his own personal experience in this message Crisis of Faith. He talks about the crucial point in life when we move beyond our book knowledge of faith to actually applying “our faith in Him” to our lives.
Scripture: Luke 24:36-24:53
It’s easy to see when a garden needs watering. The plant leaves begin to wilt, the ground becomes dry, and cracks appear. And if the plants aren’t tended to, they’re at risk of withering and dying.
It’s the same with people who need Jesus. In this message, Jill Briscoe helps us understand what’s at risk and asks us to dedicate ourselves to impacting people in our sphere of influence.
Scripture: Mark 4:1-4:20, Luke 8:1-8:15, Matthew 13:1-13:23
Have you ever witnessed someone growing in their faith and then suddenly there is a horrible spiritual attack? Jesus warned there is an enemy of the harvest—crows that are bent on snatching the seeds scattered in the fields before strong roots can take hold.
We may not like to think about it, but Satan is eager to discourage and snatch away believers. In this message, Jill Briscoe encourages all the saints to get in the fight, disciple those around them, and help people grow strong roots in their faith.
Scripture: Mark 4:1-4:20, Luke 8:1-8:15, Matthew 13:1-13:23
“We need to go out and get into this society of ours as only seniors can and be agents of God’s kingdom-building in our day and age.” – Stuart Briscoe
In this encouraging message, Stuart Briscoe reminds us that if we’re still alive, God has a purpose for us. We shouldn’t equate retiring with stepping away from God’s work for us. Until we breathe our dying breath, we are God’s workers and He’s in need of workers who are willing to rise to the challenge of expanding His kingdom by waking each morning and saying, “I’m available, Lord, what would you have me do today?”
Stuart Briscoe sends out a rally cry to seniors—and seniors to be—asking them to rise up in faith, and actively look for God’s direction in their lives. God promises those who seek Him with their hearts that they will find Him, but He does this through workers. How You Finish Matters because God needs workers! Will you be available for God to work through you well into the golden years of your life?
Scripture: 1 Timothy 2:1-2:8
Jesus came to set us free, so why are so many today living in spiritual bondage? Jesus says, “If you want to know what Truth is, I am the embodiment of it.” What you need to know is this: When you have accumulated all the information concerning what is true, you will then need to take a further step and realize that Jesus, when He lived here, was the living embodiment of all that He said was true. Stuart Briscoe shows us that it wasn’t just that Jesus said the Truth—He was the Truth. Jesus is the Truth, and He will set you free.
Scripture: John 8:31-8:41
Before the day of Pentecost, the disciples were in the middle of a faith crisis. They were broken after seeing Jesus crucified—they lost their purpose.
But part of God’s divine plan was for the Holy Spirit to come and empower the disciples to go out into the world and launch the Great Commission.
What was this day like for the disciples and what does it mean for us?
We know it was spectacular and it forever changed the disciples. Peter, who couldn’t even speak about Jesus to a servant girl one month earlier, was now emboldened to speak with authority to 3,000 listeners who came to believe in Christ.
In this message, Stuart talks about how the day of Pentecost marks a crucial turning point for the disciples as they came to truly believe what they believed.
Scripture: Acts 2:1-2:41
Jill teaches why boundaries are essential to guarding your heart against temptation. She also talks about the importance of allowing God to be in charge of your marriage instead of just an observer of it.
Scripture: Mark 10:1-10:9
There is no such thing as irreconcilable differences, says Jill in this series. God is in the reconciliation business! God created us differently, so He must have had a reason!
Scripture: Genesis 1-3
Is your marriage characterized by agape love? If you don’t know, listen as Jill teaches what agape love looks like.
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13
God places great value on the act of encouraging others, so we should, too. Learn how your marriage can benefit from the simple effort of building up your spouse.
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13
As we approach Revelation, we should bear three things in mind: It is Apocalypse, a unique literary genre that requires careful study; it is a prophecy which deals with proclamation and prediction; and a letter, which handles pastoral concerns.
Scripture: Revelation 1:1-1:20
In John’s vision, Jesus dictates letters to the churches that are relevant for all ages. He shares insights regarding their church life, including warnings, instructions, and promises.
Scripture: Revelation 2:1-3:22
Having seen Christ active in the life of the church, John now has another vision in which he sees Christ at home in heaven. Both visions need to be seen in perspective.
Scripture: Revelation 4:1-5:14
There is a peace that comes with knowing you can trust in someone’s promise. Being sure about our eternity in heaven is no exception. Jill speaks on John 14 where Jesus promises all believers that He has gone to prepare a place for us and he will return for us once again. His death on the cross made it possible for Him to follow through on this promise.
Scripture: John 14:1-14:6, Ephesians 2:6
Before the scroll outlining God’s plan could be opened, the seven seals had to be broken, outlining what must happen before the plan is consummated.
Scripture: Revelation 6:1-11:19
Do you have troubles in your life that are causing grief or tension in your household? Do you dream of living in a place where joy is abundant and everything around you is perfect? This is what heaven will be like. Revelation 22 gives us a snapshot of the beauty and perfection that awaits those of us who have put our trust in the Lord. Heaven will be a true home with a true father.
Scripture: Revelation 22
What is hell? How could a loving God create such a horrible place and then be willing to send His creation there? Jill agrees that these are normal thoughts to have, but she uses a number of passages to change our perspective on the matter.
The greatest fall came when God’s highest angel wanted to take His place and therefore was thrown out of heaven; hell was created as this angel’s new home. Hell was never created by God for man, but if we choose to reject Him, this dreadful place becomes our eternal home.
This is message includes Jill’s poem “The Wish Wand.”
Scripture: Luke 12:13-12:21
John records various visions that graphically explain why the churches are experiencing hostility, why the hostility will continue, and how it will ultimately be resolved.
Scripture: Revelation 12:1-14:20
After speaking out against the sad spiritual condition of Israel, Jesus predicted that the Temple, the center of the nation’s religious life, would be destroyed. The disciples assumed that meant the end of the world and immediately wanted to know “When?”
Scripture: Matthew 24:1-24:28
In response to the disciples’ questions about the destruction of the Temple, Jesus promised that the Gospel would be preached to all nations, and He predicted they would face major challenges and difficulties. Then He went into further details.
Scripture: Matthew 24:15-24:35
In his visions of the seals John saw the judgment of God at work in the affairs of mankind. In the trumpets he recognized how God in grace warns mankind of impending judgment. But in the plagues the judgment has finally come. It’s the End.
Scripture: Revelation 15:1-19:10
Do you have friends and family who have not yet accepted the Lord? Knowing that our time on earth could end at any moment, are you worried about them spending eternity in the outer darkness called hell?
Jill insists that if hell is a real existence and there’s a possibility that our unbelieving loved ones may end up there, it is a crucial matter to discuss. She dives into this controversial topic: Is there a second chance to accept Christ after death?
Scripture: Matthew 13, 2 Samuel 14, Luke 16, Ezekiel 33:7
We have the free will to make our own choices in life. These choices set the path for our earthly existence and, ultimately, our eternal existence. But there is a coming day when we will stand at the great white throne of God and deal with the consequences of the most important choice we had to make on earth.
Jill talks through several verses in the Bible explaining the ramifications of the decision to trust Jesus Christ as our Savior, or not.
This message includes Jill reading her poem, “Judge Jesus.”
Scripture: Revelation 20:11-20:15, Revelation 21:27
When Jesus laid aside His glory at the first Advent, He relinquished omniscience. So He could not tell the disciples when He would return. He didn’t know! But He knew He would return. He knew the “would” but not the “when.” We are in an identical situation.
Scripture: Matthew 24:29-24:44
On three occasions in his visions, John has seen the great climax of this world’s history (the vision of the seals, trumpets, and bowls). But now he returns to the subject and reveals more details of the events constituting the end of the age.
Scripture: Revelation 19:11-20:15
Having outlined the uncertain certainty of His return, Jesus ended His discourse with a series of stories illustrating the surprising and far-reaching ramifications of His teaching.

Scripture: Revelation 21:1-22:21
Have you ever received a gift you didn’t deserve? This is exactly what happens at the judgment seat of Christ. The Bible is filled with hints of what this event might be like for us. Jill discusses a couple of them for us to try and paint us a picture.
Not only do we receive the gift of dwelling in heaven when Christ died on the cross for us, we also get rewarded for the things that Christ did through us while we were on earth.
Scripture: Romans 14:10-14:14, 1 Corinthians 3:10-3:15
In 2 Kings 4, there’s a story about a widow who has run out of options on how to pay her creditors. She’s facing the real possibility that she will lose both of her young sons to slavery, as a means of paying her debt. This desperate woman is out of money, out of hope, and out of faith. She’s angry at God for the situation she’s facing with seemingly no way out. Have you ever felt that way?
How do you find peace when your faith is completely out of focus? When the sheer weight of the moment has blinded you to the Holy Spirit at work on your behalf? Jill’s message will remind you that God is sufficient. And you have all you need when you have all of Him in all you.
Scripture: 2 Kings 4:1-4:7
What does it take to be a Daniel? The people of God were living in perilous times and they needed to know how to conduct themselves. The stories of Daniel showed how, and we can learn from them and the principles that develop character.
Scripture: Daniel 1
Daniel soon found that life in the royal court of Nebuchadnezzar was fraught with difficulties that were life threatening. His response to his stiuation as a representative of “the God of heaven” is classic and provides a model for God’s people at all times.
Scripture: Daniel 2
Life in Babylon was not easy for Daniel and his friends even though they held privileged positions. They were never far from having to reassert their allegiance to the Lord and demonstrate their distinctives, as the incident of the fiery furnace clearly demonstrates.
Scripture: Daniel 3
No matter how high a person may be elevated and no matter how celebrated a person may be, that person must sooner or later come to terms with the fact that the Lord is the MOST HIGH. Like Nebuchadnezzar, everybody needs to hear Him say, “I’m God. And you’re not!”
Scripture: Daniel 4
Have you ever seen “the handwriting on the wall”? What did you do? Belshazzar knew about Nebuchadnezzar’s experience, but he chose to ignore it. He surpassed his predecessor in the behavior that had led to his downfall. The writing was on the wall for him long before the fingers of a human hand appeared. We should take note!
Scripture: Daniel 5
Daniel faced new challenges when the Medes and Persians overthrew the Babylonian regime. But he still showed a “remarkable spirit” even when facing hungry lions!
Scripture: Daniel 6
After the opening stories of Daniel, we come now to the more challenging chapters, which deal with Daniel’s apocalyptic visions. What they mean and how they apply have been the subjects of intense debate for centuries, but they teach us many basic lessons nevertheless.
Scripture: Daniel 7
When you hear the phrase "born again" what do you think of? For many people today, being "born again" simply means a change or a new outlook on life. But is that what Jesus meant when he said that we must be born again? In this message, Stuart Briscoe takes us through Jesus' conversation with the Pharisee Nicodemus and helps us understand in context what Jesus was really saying.
Scripture: John 3:1
