I just finished listening to Jill’s message on Martha and busyness. Yes, I do have a constant tug of war between my Mary and Martha sides, but that is not why I am writing.
I smiled as I listened to Jill talk about a time she was speaking at a conference in Canada. I pictured exactly what she was describing—because I was there! It was a Women Alive conference, and as a young mom of four boys, it was such a refreshing time for me.
I remember Jill needed to sit on the platform with her daughter Judy, and as much as she disliked sitting instead of standing, it didn’t detract from or diminish the long-lasting impact her message has had.
To this day I can recall these words: “Though the fig tree does not blossom and there are no grapes on the vines,” and “I will take my stand at my watch post, station myself on the tower, and look out to see what he will say to me.”
Thank you so much, Jill, for investing in our lives!
