Let go … and let God win the worry war

Inside the heart and mind of many believers, a battle is raging. The devil is fighting to terrify us into feeling fear and anxiety. But God is defending and upholding us, resisting the attacks of Satan, and guarding our hearts with His peace.

I know this battle in my own life, as I’ve always been prone to worry. And if I’m being candid, sometimes I’m as much a worrier today as I was when I was a little girl. But here’s the important difference: Now I have Christ!

The truth is, if you’re prone to worry, like I am, God may not change your personality. But He will give you the faith you need. As Joshua 1:9 tells us,

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Don’t let the devil win the battle for your heart and mind. Instead, turn your worries into prayers. As you pass them over to God, they will get smaller and smaller as He transforms your fear into courage, and your despair into hope.
