How does transformation happen in my life?

You asked, Stuart answered!

A few years ago a pretty young English university student named Kate Middleton met a handsome young man named Will. There was nothing unusual about that except for one thing: Will was in line to one day be King William V of the United Kingdom. So they married in Westminster Abbey and immediately Kate became the Duchess of Cambridge—and, perhaps one day, Queen Catherine.

That is quite the transformation! How did it happen? She met the right person, committed to him—and he to her—and she entered into the riches and privileges of royalty.

So it is with the believer. When a humble, repentant believer yields her life to Christ, her status before God changes forever. She becomes a child of God—a princess in the royal family. Although this may sound like a dream, she has to come to believe it, understand it, and live in the good of it. Paul called it being “transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2).

Then she discovers that her attitudes and aspirations, her interests, and her objectives are also being transformed. In fact, she is “being transformed… from one degree of glory to another.” But how? “This comes from The Lord who is the Spirit” (2 Corinthians 3:18).
