A word from Jill: Comfort in the darkest days

Have you ever had a really dark day?

You get some bad news about yourself, your family, or someone you love, and you don’t know what to do. Sometimes you can’t pick up the phone and share it with a friend because it’s too private or too difficult.

Unfortunately, we all have times of tragedy, loss, and struggle in this life. But there’s something important to remember in those dark days…

Jesus, who died for you and rose from the dead, now lives to pray for you.

Hebrews 7:25 tells us, “Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.”

What a comfort it is in our dark days to know that this biblical promise is true: Jesus Christ actually prays for us. And He’s right there with us, to strengthen and comfort us.

I hope that comforts you today. When you’re running out of prayers, be assured that He is the great I AM who lives to intercede for you. And the members of His body—fellow believers—are also there to pray for you and encourage you.
