In John chapter 7, Jesus makes His offer during the Feast of Tabernacles, a celebration where Israel remembered God’s provision in the wilderness—including the water He gave to a thirsty people. Standing in that setting, He declares that anyone who comes to Him in faith will receive the Holy Spirit, who becomes an inner stream of “living water” that continually satisfies and overflows into a transformed life.
