The early church insisted that the resurrection of Jesus was essential to the Christian message, making it the center of both their preaching and their discipleship. Even though many resisted or denied the idea of resurrection, the apostles taught that Christ’s rising gives believers unshakable confidence, purpose, and perseverance as they live out their faith.
