Although a large percent of youth in a recent survey said they believe in God, only a small portion of them said God had a great deal of influence on how they live. Many of them expressed a desire for religious weddings and funerals, but not many of them would seek religious counsel. Man may be, in Burke’s words, “by his constitution a religious animal,” but the God of his religion apparently needs clarification.
