“Holiness,” as we have seen, means, among other things, “separation.” This has led some Christians to interpret it as “isolation.” Accordingly, at one extreme, people regard holiness as withdrawal from life, and at the other, people find holiness so unattractive that they avoid it. Both are wrong.
