The Briscoes made the decision to move from the UK to the United States in the early 70s to answer God’s call for Stuart to preach in the Midwest. Stuart was instrumental in growing Elmbrook Church to become the largest evangelical church in the state of Wisconsin.
As senior pastor at that time—and for the next 30 years—Stuart Briscoe’s teaching became so sought after that church attenders requested his sermons be recorded with the idea of sharing them! So the tape ministry of Telling the Truth began in the basement of a church member’s home. And shortly after that, the sermons were broadcast on radio.
For over 50 years, Telling the Truth has been sharing the gospel around the world! Our mission is to continue to do this for as long as we can in carrying out the Great Commission!
