A user on our mobile app asked, "I am a millennial, and I have grown up in the church. I have had struggles, and I have always been directed back to the cross. My relationship with God is continuously being worked on, and I strive to live my life for Him daily. I've built strong friendships with people who have beliefs and opinions that are conflicting with mine (which is okay). Social media has made it possible for everyone to share content with one another, but I find myself becoming more and more offended by what I see on my daily news feed. I also see this overwhelming increase in 'spirit science' and these 'spiritual' beliefs that preach fulfillment and purpose, while taking God, Christ, and the Gospel out of the picture. How do we as followers of Christ prepare ourselves and defend ourselves against the flood of false teachings—Oprah's beliefs and Rob Bell's beliefs, for example—which seem to be spreading across the globe and which specifically influence millennials?"
