Have you ever heard someone say, “There aren’t enough hours in the day!”? The truth is there are exactly the right number of hours in a day—but we try to jam too many things into those hours.

Our tendency is to look at our lives and believe there are “time bandits” trying to steal our precious hours from us.

Of course, everyone has a list of things they think we should be doing with our time. In my life I’ve been encouraged by well-meaning friends to exercise more, read more, pray more, or spend more time with my grandchildren.

These are all good things. But there is a problem—I don’t have any more time!

Then I read something in the Scriptures that addressed the issue: “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” (Matthew 6:33).

Make absolutely certain that whatever you have time for, you’ve got time for the Kingdom. And there’s a promise that if you do that, then all the other things that are important to you will fit into place.

Jill, Pete, and I couldn’t be more delighted to have you as a faithful partner in this most important work. By giving priority to the Kingdom, we pray the Lord is filling your tank daily with a fresh, new perspective of His grace in your life.
